Vintage mid century stacking modular industrial metal shelving system consisting of eight tray or hopper like shelves, each with a shallow front panel with label holder, sitting on low base and having a top panel. I've stated 1960s in the details but I've a feeling these are earlier, possibly even wartime. They are still in their original dark green paint and each section has rows of slots which hold metal dividers: I have a limited amount of those to share among five of these units; there should be at least 10 for each set though (pics to follow of those). Condition is pretty good structurally: they're solid enough when they're all bolted together (not bolted in the pics); the odd loose joint which doesn't really matter across the whole piece, various dents and bumps from a lifetime of work. Cosmetically a similar story: the old paint is very worn and there's surface rust in many places, none of which is structurally significant. Lots of stickers and painted numbers and so on. Could do with a clean; I'm gradually washing them. Five complete sets available and plenty more part sets or individual shelves. These can be bolted to each other sideways too, for an impressive bank of shelves. Dimensions: 91cm x 30cm x 190cm high (single shelf 23cm high)
