Description
Little antique oak writing bureau made around 1920 probably. Known as a student's bureau due to its slim size, this one has a roll top or tambour front, instead of a flap which comes down; again, good for space saving. There's a drawer below and behind the front there's a simple fitted interior for stationery etc. Shelf below. Bureaux have possibly found a new niche in that they're handy work stations now that most people have laptops or tablets. Condition is pretty good structurally: it's solid and the roll top works fine (unusually..). Cosmetically there are various scuffs and scratches etc to the finish (see pics) but overall it looks well enough. Dimensions: 71cm x 46cm x 101cm high (writing surface 75cm high)
